Director's Corner

As we kick off this school year I can say with assurance that the Choraliers (110 voices strong) are displaying a sense of work ethics that is surpassing years past.

Having graduated so many seniors last year, has given us the opportunity to take on many new members. Our new members have been attending workshops and rehearsals since July in preparation of joining returning Choraliers at the start of school.

Most of our time in training so far has been devoted to building skills in sight reading and tone quality development.

In evaluating how far this group has come in such a short period of time, I am anticipating great things this year. Some of our repertoire this semester includes a five part accapella setting entitled “Alleluia” by Pergolesi, an extended work entitled “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi, as well as the Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun” and a jazz arrangement of “Baby It’s Cold Outside”.

I hope to see all parents and Booster Members at our first performance on October 24th at the Clover Memorial Stadium.
