To Clover High School From I-77

• From the North (Charlotte) via I-77.

Take I-77 South through Charlotte and into South Carolina. Take the Highway 160 Exit and go west. If you find yourself in Fort Mill you turned the wrong way. At the intersection of 160 and Highway 49, turn left onto 49. Take 49 across Lake Wylie and through the Lake Wylie Community. You will reach a large intersection with a Winn Dixie/Wendy's on the right and Food Lion/Burger King cati-cornered on the left. Turn left at this intersection to continue on 49. You will cross Crowders Creek and pass Crowder's Creek School. Turn right just before the next light onto Hwy 55. If you pass through the light and pass the Amoco station on the left, you have gone too far. Once on 55, Clover High School is @7 miles on the left. Total time from 160 exit is @40 minutes.

To continue on to Memorial Stadium for football games, continue on 55 past the high school.  After entering the Clover town limits, pass the Clover School District Office (clock tower).  Turn left on Clinton Avenue (second left after the DO.)  Stadium will be on the right.

• From the South (Columbia) via I-77.

Take the first exit in York County. This is Hwy 901. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto 901. You will now stay on 901 until you reach the Newport community. You will pass through several lights and merge with another road momentarily, but you will eventually come to a Burger King on the right. Be prepared here because to STAY ON 901, you must turn left at the Burger King. Continue to stay on 901 until you reach the Newport Community. From I-77 to Newport is about @ 9 -10 miles. In Newport, turn right on Hwy 274. You will immediately cross railroad tracks and pass Carter Lumber. You will also pass a Highway Patrol station. Travel another 8-9 miles on 274 until you come to the Five Points intersection. This is the intersection of 274, 49, and 55. You will see an Amoco Station on the left. Approach the light and go STRAIGHT through the light. Even though you stayed straight, you are actually now on 55. School is @7 miles on the left. Total Time from 901 exit to CHS is @45 minutes.
